“Four-legged residents of the Spa City will soon have a safe addition to the dog park on Crescent Street and Route 9. The City Council (Saratoga Springs, NY) approved on Tuesday (Aug. 12) a resolution in conjunction with New York State Parks to build a fence around the existing dog park.” -The Saratogian full article

First place went to Murdock and his owner.
The Dash for the Dog Park 5K is a family friendly, pet friendly walk/run in the heart of the Saratoga Spa State Park on Saturday, October 4, 2014. Organized by the Friends of the Saratoga Spa State Park Dog Park, the Dash for the Dog Park will help fund amenities at the dog park to increase the safety and well being of it’s patrons.
Dash for the Dog Park-2014 was a big success. In addition to helping with expenses our Sponsors donated over $1500 in support services. Many local businesses participated in sponsoring and also with donating hundreds of dollars in raffle items. With the help of our sponsors and community over 100 people and 30 dogs ran the 5k on a rainy day to raise $4600 during our first year! Dash for the Dog Park-2015 is anticipated to be twice as big and with your help Saratoga Springs will soon have the premier public dog park in all Upstate New York.

Priceless Companions truly enjoys helping our pet friendly community in any way we can. It was such a pleasure to organize this great event with the help of NYS Parks, Recreation and Historical Preservation, the Friends of the Saratoga Spa State Park Dog Park, and all of the many sponsors and volunteers. All of our hard work paid off even though the weather was less than ideal. We personally want to thank Andy Damon (NYS Parks, Recreation and Historical Preservation), Jennifer McDonald (SaratogaDogLovers.com) and Courtney Gelish (Unleashed Canine Care). We look forward to working with everyone again next year for Dash for the Dog Park-2015!
